One thing I’ve learned from reading business books and blogs is that good business isn’t just about making money. It’s about making your customers happy. Happy customers are repeat customers; they are oftentimes also referring customers which means more customers and the cycle continues. This seems to be a fairly simple rule – common sense almost but you’d be amazed at how many businesses fail in this area. Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be a summary of the book of Genesis. It’s more the obligatory first post that plagues all freshly-hatched blogs. I’ve begun two major journeys in my life this year and want to share my experiences when and as they occur – sort of – when I get the time…. if I get the time. Did I mention that my PhD is in stem cell research? Yeah, that tends to take out a significant chunk of free time. I’ve also started a web and graphics design business with my brother that I’m really exicted about. The ultimate objective is to chronicle the ups, the downs, and interesting observations along the way.
